I have eaten my weight in clam chowder along this coast, and I’m not sorry. But Seaside’s lunch game is a glorious identity crisis, swinging from a historic theater serving beer flights and thick-cut bacon to a no-frills roadhouse where the Monte Cristo ruins you for all other sandwiches.

Yes, I cried into noodle broth on a rainy Tuesday. The Putter Room’s fluffy pancakes and Pizza a' fetta’s blistered crust prove this town refuses to be one thing.

Grab a fork. You’ll need it for the list below.

Amazing food, easy A+
Family-friendly, highly recommend

I stumbled into The Noodle House on a rainy Tuesday, and honestly, I almost cried into my broth. The fresh salad rolls are seriously great—crisp, cool, and gone in about ninety seconds. The staff greeted me like a regular, even though I clearly had no idea what I was doing. Service was fast, which matters when you're hangry. Vegetarian options? Fantastic. I’m not even vegetarian and I’d order them again on purpose. Family-friendly vibe, clean tables, and the whole meal was an easy A+. I left full, warm, and a little embarrassed at how quickly I slurped my noodles. Go. Just go.

I walked into Times Theatre & Public House expecting a quick bite. I stayed for the fish and chips, which were excellent—golden, flaky, and dangerously crisp. The massive historic theater screen loomed above me like a cinematic god. I ordered a Bloody Mary, and wow, that thing could cure a cold. The six-beer flight is cheap, and I appreciated that deeply. Service at the bar was fast and friendly, even when I couldn't decide. I sat there, stared at the screen, and felt like a very small person in a very cool room. Probably the most entertaining lunch I've had in ages.

Friendly, helpful phone service

Sea Breeze Roadhouse made me feel like I was visiting a friend's cozy kitchen, if that friend had a Monte Cristo worth raving about. The sandwich was a golden, melty mess of sweet and savory—I’m still thinking about it. The vibe is homey, welcoming, with an open coffee bar and mugs you just grab. Vegetarian options were handled with care, not as an afterthought. I even called ahead with a dumb question, and the phone service was genuinely helpful. I ate too much, drank too much coffee, and left with a full heart and a slightly tighter waistband. Ten out of ten.

I was famished, possibly feral, when I walked into Twisted Fish Steakhouse and Sports Lounge. The clam chowder? Killer. Rich, creamy, and packed with clams. Then I tried the steamer clams, buttery and fresh, and I nearly licked the bowl. The seafood fettuccine was a delightful, garlicky hug in a bowl. Service was excellent and warm, like they could tell I needed help. This place is ideal for famished clam diggers—I say that as someone who has never dug a clam in my life. If you love the ocean's salty bounty, this is your spot. I left reeking of garlic and happiness.

Fun old-theater atmosphere

Sisu Brewing Co. sits in an old theater, and the vibe is pure fun. The beer flights are a high point—who doesn't love trying six tiny beers? But the real star was the BLT: thick bacon, crisp lettuce, and bread that held it all together. The service made it shine; friendly, quick, and they seated our big, rowdy group fast. I ate way too much bacon and drank a flight that made me feel like a champion. The atmosphere is quirky and welcoming. I told my friends we should come back tomorrow. They said no. I'm still mad about it.

End of the Trail Public House felt like a secret. Tucked away, quiet, a refuge from the crowded bars. The bartender was kind, poured a fair glass, and didn't rush me. There's pool tables, darts, and open seating—plenty of spots to just breathe. I ordered a drink, sat by the window, and watched the world go by. Prices were decent, pours were fair. If you want to escape the chaos, this is your place. I almost told everyone about it. But then I remembered I like having a quiet spot. So I'll just tell you. It's wonderful.

Prep Kitchen Deli & Catering is a cute, clean, welcoming space I almost walked past. So glad I didn't. The house-made pickles and mac salad are the real deal—bright, tangy, and clearly made with love. I grabbed a premade sandwich, and it was solid, not sad. Great drinks too, including a Pelican and Monk that hit the spot. The staff was friendly, prices fair, and the vibe was unhurried. I sat at a tiny table, ate my sandwich, and felt like I'd found a little gem. I mean, not a hidden gem, just a great deli. But it's definitely a keeper.

Best pizza, hands down
Fresh ingredients, amazing flavor
Friendly service, great care
Better than Cannon Beach
Worth the drive from Yakima

I've had pizza in Cannon Beach. I’ve had pizza in Portland. Pizza a' fetta beats them all. Hands down, best pizza I’ve had on this trip. The crust was blistered, the sauce bright, and the cheese—oh, the cheese. Fresh ingredients, amazing flavor, and you can tell they care. Service was friendly, and they took care of my order with real attention. I overheard someone say it was worth the drive from Yakima. I believe them. I’d drive from farther. I finished my slice, stared at the box, and wished I ordered a second one. Next time. Mark my words.
